Titanium anode tubes shipped to Shanghai customers

发布时间:2019-08-13

In order to adapt to the development of China's shipping industry and the demand of offshore oil development, China's offshore construction is developing rapidly on an unprecedented scale. Tower approach bridges, steel pile wharves, steel floating wharves, offshore platforms and other facilities based on steel pipe piles are widely used. Due to the impurities in steel, the corrosive action of microcells and the complex natural environment in the ocean, although corrosion-resistant alloy steel is selected, the thickness of the material is greatly increased, and excellent corrosion-resistant paint is coated, the corrosion of these structures is still very serious. Cathodic protection law was put forward in the early 19th century, but it was only in the 1940s that it was applied to marine steel structures as an effective protection technology. In industrialized countries, it has been widely used in the 1970s. Cathodic protection method is a convenient and economical measure to effectively protect permanent steel structures in the ocean. Anode is a key component in cathodic protection system. Iron-based anode, aluminum-based anode, platinum-based anode and tantalum-plated platinum anode are widely used. However, the former has a short service life and needs frequent replacement, while the latter is expensive and rare. Graphite, high silicon iron and lead silver alloy have also been used as anode materials.
