Cyanide-containing Wastewater from Electroplating Plant
Electroplating wastewater is a kind of toxic industrial wastewater, and also a source of environmental pollution from a wide range of sources. Because the composition of electroplating wastewater is complex, the content of harmful substances is high, and the treatment technology is difficult, a considerable amount of electroplating wastewater is discharged directly without treatment, resulting in environmental pollution.
There are many methods to treat electroplating wastewater at home and abroad, among which chemical treatment is widely used. However, the sludge after chemical treatment is huge in volume, poor in filtration performance and difficult to dispose of. These shortcomings largely limit the application of chemical treatment.
Cyanide electroplating is still a common electroplating method. Sodium hypochlorite oxidation decomposition method can be used to treat cyanide-containing wastewater in electroplating plants.
